LSCC Community Coach

With a passion for growth (personal, spiritual, or whatever), Seth serves as the LSCC Community Coach. Seth is a father to four kids, has two M.A. degrees (biblical studies & theological studies) and has been a pastor, a coffee shop manager, and a professor (among other things). His intense curiosity around spirituality, particularly how Christian spirituality can intersect with other traditions, led him to become an expert in the Enneagram, and he has been co-leading Enneagram workshops with different friends for almost 5 years.

Seth joined Cohort 11 without really knowing what coaching was, but quickly felt like this is how he was always trying to invest in people in all his other jobs (he didn’t know you could just coach without having it be a part of another job, like coffee shop manager or professor). After finishing with Cohort 11, Seth assisted at several subsequent onsites (he even got to be the lead assistant sometimes) as well as volunteering at other Lark Song events. He kept doing this until they almost had no choice but to put him on staff. His favorite part of coaching is walking alongside his clients as they unfold and unlock parts of themselves that they had a hard time accessing previously, and just becoming better versions of themselves than they knew how to be before.

To create good habits of self-care, Seth has set a boundary with himself to not eat an entire jar of queso in one sitting; however, he has not set a similar boundary for his favorite candy, jelly beans.

Seth can be contacted at seth@larkssong.com
